Erdemir became the leader of the iron and steel sector in the Capital500

Erdemir was again named the largest private company in the iron and steel sector in the Capital500 survey.

In the survey of Türkiye's 500 Largest Private Companies, prepared by Capital magazine, the leader of the iron and steel sector remained unchanged this year. Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları (Erdemir), a company of OYAK Maden Metalürji Grubu, was once again recognized as the leader in the iron and steel sector by being named the sector leader in the Capital500.

The award was presented to Sinan Bozkurt, Executive Vice President of Operations, on behalf of Erdemir at the Capital500 Summit and Award Ceremony held at the Swissotel İstanbul. At the "Future Scenarios of Leaders" panel organized within the scope of the award ceremony, leading representatives of the business world shared their resilience and transformation strategies against global uncertainties.

In the statement made by OYAK Maden Metalürji Grubu, Group thanked all employees, business partners and stakeholders who contributed to this success and stated, “As Erdemir, we will continue to be the driving force of the Turkish industry.”

In the Capital500 survey, 54 awards were distributed in 46 categories this year. Erdemir maintained its leadership in the iron and steel sector with its production power, export performance and steady growth graph.

Among other noteworthy awards, Tüpraş ranked first in the “Largest Companies by Turnover” category, while Ford Otosan ranked high in the “Most Profitable” and “Most Exporting Companies” categories.
