ENKA signs contract for work on turbine island of Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Plant in England

ENKA UK Construction Limited Company, a subsidiary of ENKA İnşaat ve Sanayi AŞ, undertook the construction and installation of the piping systems of the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Plant in England.

According to the company statement, the signed contract covers the installation and installation of high-pressure piping and the construction, delivery, installation, assembly and commissioning assistance of medium and low-pressure piping systems associated with the turbine island.

Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Plant, which is under construction in the Somerset Region of England, has two EPR type reactors with a total of 3,200 megawatts.

Hinkley Point C, which is the first nuclear power plant project approved in the UK after nearly 20 years, is expected to meet approximately 7 percent of the country's energy needs after its completion in 2025.
