EMSTEEL Group announced that it has renewed its membership in the Sustainability Charter run by the World Steel Association for 2026. This step is interpreted as a continuation of the company’s commitment to sustainable production practices and responsible steelmaking.
In the company’s statement, it was emphasized that sustainability remains one of the core elements of EMSTEEL’s long-term strategy. In line with this, the company stated that it continues to focus on developing low-emission steel solutions and contributing to the creation of a more resilient and environmentally sensitive production structure in the industrial sector.
It was also highlighted that EMSTEEL aims to support the wider adoption of lower-carbon production processes in the global steel industry through its investments in sustainable production technologies and projects aimed at reducing environmental impacts.
Additionally, in August 2025, EMSTEEL became the first company in the Middle East and North Africa region to obtain the ResponsibleSteel™ Core Site Certification awarded by ResponsibleSteel. In the same period, EMSTEEL was also named a “Steel Sustainability Champion” for 2025 by the World Steel Association, making it the only company in the MENA region to achieve this recognition for two consecutive years. These developments are regarded as steps that further strengthen the company’s leadership in sustainable and low-carbon steel production.
