EMSTEEL Group has officially launched its sustainability identity, TrueGreen™. According to the company’s statement, the new identity consolidates carbon reduction initiatives under a single framework, establishing a global benchmark for transparency and accountability in the sector.
It was noted that TrueGreen™ steel is based on independent verification and digital traceability, from production to end use. All products are documented with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and batch-based carbon data is provided to customers.
The company stated that TrueGreen™ will give customers a competitive advantage in light of regulations such as the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). With this identity, EMSTEEL aims to strengthen its position in sustainability-focused tenders.
It was recalled that EMSTEEL recently became the first producer in MENA to receive ResponsibleSteel™ certification and the first in the world to test electric process gas heaters. The company also plays a pioneering role in projects with ADNOC on carbon capture and with Masdar on hydrogen-based steelmaking, while its low-carbon products were used in Abu Dhabi’s first net-zero carbon mosque.
CEO Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi emphasized that TrueGreen™ symbolizes the company’s commitment to sustainable steel, stating: “We provide our customers with transparent data that enhances their competitiveness.” It was also highlighted that EMSTEEL maintains emissions at 0.67 tons of CO₂ per ton of steel, below the global average, thereby contributing to the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals.
