EMSTEEL ends price stability with November rebar hike

EMSTEEL, based in the United Arab Emirates, announced that it has increased its rebar prices for November 2025 production by AED 58 (USD 16) per ton, setting the new price at AED 2,648 (USD 721) per ton.

EMSTEEL ends price stability with November rebar hike

Emirates Steel, the UAE’s leading integrated steel producer, has announced an upward adjustment to its rebar prices for November 2025. The revised pricing will take effect for all orders placed from November 1, 2025, across domestic and export markets.

Throughout September and October 2025, EMSTEEL maintained its rebar price at AED 2,590 per metric ton (approximately USD 705/ton), with no adjustments despite fluctuating global raw material costs. The company confirmed that these prices excluded the UAE’s 5% Value Added VAT, which is applied separately at the point of sale.

While the company has not disclosed the exact magnitude of the increase, industry sources indicate the adjustment reflects rising input costs including higher scrap metal prices and energy expenses as well as sustained demand from the UAE’s construction sector, which continues to benefit from major infrastructure and real estate developments linked to national economic initiatives.

The move aligns with broader regional trends, where several Gulf producers have implemented selective price revisions in response to volatile raw material markets and strengthening local demand. Market analysts suggest the increase could further support regional price stability in the short term, particularly as project pipelines in the UAE remain robust heading into 2026.
