Egypt's rebar market sees first price surge since March 2023

In the latest report on steel prices in Egypt, the rebar sector has experienced a notable transformation, ending a period of sustained stability. According to the daily monitoring of steel prices, rebar prices fluctuated between EGP 35,750 and EGP 39,900 ($1156- 1291) EXW .

This week, key players in the industry, including Ezz Steel at EGP 36,000 ($1165), Suez Steel at EGP 36,000 ($1165), Egyptian Steel at EGP 38,000 ($1229), El Marakby Steel at EGP 38,000 ($1229), Ashry Steel at EGP 38,000  ($1229), Garhy Steel at EGP 35,750 ($1157), and Al Gioshy Steel at EGP 37,000 ($1197), maintained their prices.

However, breaking the pattern observed since March 2023, this week witnessed the first increase in rebar prices. El Marakby Steel, Ashry Steel, and Garhy Steel have all adjusted their prices upward to EGP 38,000 ($1229). Additionally, Beshay Steel now stands at EGP 39,900 ($1291), while Misr Steel is priced at EGP 37,000 ($1197), El Komy Steel at EGP 36,500 ($1181), and El Ola Steel at EGP 36,500 ($1181).
