According to Brazil's National Institute of Steel Distributors (INDA), the steel sales in the national distribution network could grow by 3% to 5% in 2022, thanks to the strong demand driven by the sectors of wind energy, home appliance, construction, tractors, agricultural machinery, and trucks.
President of INDA Carlos Loureiro commented that the supply of vehicle chips could normalize in the second half of 2022, which will be in favor of the automotive sector with a growth of up to 9%.
In addition, the president expected a stable steel price in the international market.
