The peculiarity of this enterprise is that it directly applies wire rod production technology. Currently, there are many factories in the world where the continuous casting machine is connected to a rolling mill, which makes it possible to do without a heating furnace, but they produce rebar, bar or hot rolled sheet products.
In Guilin Pinggang, billets from the double-wire casting machine are sent to the MIDA QLP rolling mill, which has two production lines. In one of them, rebar with a size of 10-28 mm is produced, in the other - wire rod or rebar in coils with a diameter of 6 to 12 mm.
