Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the construction production index data for May 2025. Accordingly, construction production index increased by 20.3% y/y in May.
Analyzed by sub-sectors, building construction production increased by 23.3%, construction of non-building structures by 10.1% and private construction activities by 17.4% compared to the same month of the previous year.
On a monthly basis, the general construction production index increased by 4.8%, while building construction production increased by 5.6%, non-building construction by 2.7% and private construction activities by 3.4% compared to the previous month.
This strong increase in the sector indicates that the momentum in construction activities continues, especially in housing and building construction.
