Construction cost index increased by 22.4% annually in May

Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the construction cost index data for May.

Accordingly, construction cost index increased by 0.88% in May compared to the previous month and by 22.4% compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to the data, on a monthly basis, the material index increased by 1.09% and the labor index by 0.52%. On an annual basis, the material index increased by 17.81% and the labor index by 31.39%.

In the same period, the building construction cost index increased by 0.81% compared to the previous month and by 22.46% compared to the same month of the previous year. While the material index in building construction increased by 1.08% and the labor index by 0.35% on a monthly basis, the material index increased by 18.24% and the labor index by 30.4% on an annual basis.
