During the inspections carried out throughout the district, 11 workplaces were scrutinized, while a total of 35 people in the workplaces were questioned about their identity.
As a result of the inspections, it was determined that three workplaces did not have a license to open and operate a workplace and three workplaces did not have a tax plate. In addition, it was determined that six workplaces did not keep regular invoice records and six workplaces did not have second-hand purchase and sale contracts. The inspections also revealed that three workplaces did not have a camera recording system, which is mandatory for security purposes.
While legal actions were initiated against the workplaces that were found to have deficiencies and violations of the legislation, administrative sanction decisions were taken and fines were imposed on eight workplaces. The inspections aimed to prevent unregistered activities in the purchase and sale of scrap, to prevent illegal trading and to ensure public order.
