According to the Colombian National Statistics Office (DANE), Colombia's ferrous exports reached 81,900 tonnes in the January-April period, up by 20.6% compared to the same period last year. However, the value of ferrous metal exports fell by 24.3 % to USD 233.1 million.
In April, Colombia's ferrous steel exports reached 26,700 tonnes, up 121.3% year-on-year, with revenues of US$80.86 million, 34.9% more than in the same month last year.
Colombia exported 48,400 tonnes of ferronickel between January and April this year, up 9.3% year-on-year. However, revenue from ferronickel exports fell by 38.9%to USD 154.5 million.
In April, Colombia's ferronickel exports reached 15,600 tonnes, up 90.2 % year-on-year. The value of April ferronickel exports rose 13.4% year-on-year to US$54.38 million.
