In January 2023, Turkey exported 60,200 tons of coated flat rolled products, which is 12.3% less than in December 2022 and 54% less than in January 2022.
Exports of hot-dip galvanized steel coils decreased by 15.7% m-o-m and 52.6% y-o-y to approximately 42,000 tons, while shipments of pre-painted galvanized flat steel decreased by 44.4% m-o-m and 16% y-o-y to 12,000 tons.
Romania was the main destination for the export of hot-dip galvanized steel coils, with imports of 13,200 tons, Egypt for shipments of pre-painted galvanized flat steel, with 1,800 tons, the main export target.
