According to the World Steel Association (worldsteel), the crude steel production of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries amounted to 8.8 million tons in November this year, down 1% compared to the previous month.
Among them, production from Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus fell month-on-month due to overhaul of production equipment. Russia's production fell 3% to 6.45 million tons, Kazakhstan's production fell 3% to 330,000 tons, and Belarus's production fell 3% to 150,000 tons.
In this period, Ukraine's production increased by 8% to 1.7 million tons as some problems of raw material suppliers were resolved. Ukraine's production growth partially offset the overall decline.
