Pig iron production increased by 0.41
At the end of April 2023, the average daily pig iron output of China's main steel mills stood at around 2.03 million tons, up 0.41% from mid-April and down by 0.59% y-o-y.
Crude steel output up 3.01
The average daily production of crude steel and steel products by steel mills was about 2.21 million tons and 2.27 million tons, down 3.63% and increased by 3.01%, respectively, compared to mid-April.
Steel inventories decreased by 2.32%.
Steel stocks at the end of April stood at 18.11 million tons, down by 2.32% from mid-April but up 0.12% y-o-y.
