Chinese rebar prices on the rise

Producers in the north barely reached CNY 3720/t EXW (448 USD/t excluding VAT), adding a weekday minimum of CNY 10/t (USD 1.38/t).

For Southern mills, the updated offers continued to decline, but the correction did not exceed CNY 10/t (USD 1.38/t), bringing offers back to CNY 3790/t EXW (USD 456/t excluding VAT).

Although this week has ended with an uncertain price trend, given the fluctuations of the Chinese currency yuan, it is inevitable that prices will continue to rise, especially this summer while trade has slowed down.
