Chinese imports of rolled steel fell

According to the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, imports of finished rolled steel into China in August 2023 amounted to 640 thousand tons, decreasing by 5.6% compared to the previous month and also decreasing by 28.1% compared to August 2022.

Over the eight months since the beginning of this year, Chinese imports of finished steel were at 5.058 million tons, a decrease of 32.1% compared to the same period last year.
