China's billet import billet prices rose as rebar futures showed a recovery.
According to indicators from foreign sources, Chinese imported billet prices, which were $600/ton CFR last week, are currently at $610-615/ton CFR.
The rebar futures contract for January 22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed at RMB 4,589/ton ($720/t) today, witnessing a sharp increase of $15/ton.
