Production of steel products by China steel mills fell in April.
According to data released by China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), the daily average pig iron output of China's major steel mills in April 2024 was around 1.91 million tons, up 2.16% from March 2024 but down 6.68% year-on-year.
During the same period, average daily crude steel output was about 2.11 million tons, down 0.47% from end-March 2024 and down 9.05% year-on-year.
