China's top stainless steel export destination in the month was Indonesia, while imports from this country decreased by 19.86% monthly to 106,000 tons. A slight increase of 0.57% was recorded on an annual basis.
In the January-November 2024 period, China's total stainless steel imports decreased by 3.73% to approximately 1.74 million tons. Imports from Indonesia reached 1.45 million tons during this period, with a marginal decrease of 0.06% on an annual basis.
20.43% increase in exports in eleven months
On the other hand, China's stainless steel exports were recorded as 439,000 tons in November. This figure decreased by 5.25% compared to the previous month, and increased by 22.96% compared to the same period last year. In the first eleven months of 2024, China's total stainless steel exports increased by 20.43% to 4.58 million tons.
Net exports in November increased by 19.30% compared to the previous month and by 37.62% compared to the same period last year, reaching 309,000 tons. Net exports increased by 42.22% in the January-November period, reaching approximately 2.84 million tons.
