China's rebar demand remained resilient despite seasonal pressures

China's rebar market recorded stronger-than-expected demand in June despite the impact of the traditional low season. Construction activity slowed due to heatwaves, heavy rainfall and the mid-year examination period, while steady progress in infrastructure projects continued to support the market. In July, rebar consumption is expected to decrease by approximately %2 month on month as seasonal pressures intensify.
