China's HRC exports rise in the Q1

In the first quarter of 2023, China's hot rolled coil exports reached 5.07 million tons, up 156.5% y-o-y.

Vietnam was the main export center

Exports to Vietnam were around 1.36 million tons, to South Korea around 790,000 tons and to Turkey around 470,000 tons.

Hot rolled coil exports to Turkey increased

China exported hot rolled coils to Turkey in the after the earthquake in Turkey. In this period, China's hot rolled steel exports to Turkey increased by 262.2% m-o-m to 360,000 tons in March.
