The national average daily crude steel production in November was 2.329 million tons, representing a 0.3% increase compared with the previous month.
From January to November 2025, China’s total crude steel production amounted to 891.67 million tons, decreasing 4.0% year on year.
A similar trend was observed in pig iron production. In November, China’s pig iron output reached 62.34 million tons, representing an 8.7% year-on-year decrease. The average daily pig iron production for the month was 2.078 million tons, down 1.7% from the previous month. During the January–November period, the country’s total pig iron production was 774.05 million tons, marking a 2.3% decline compared with the same period last year.
