Taiwan's largest steel mill, China Steel Corp (CSC), is raising its carbon steel hot rolled and cold rolled coil list prices for August sales in order to stabilize the costs of steel raw materials.
With the rise in steel prices in the global market, leading steel producers also increased their list prices. Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., for example, has announced that it will raise its carbon steel hot rolled coil list price by 100 Yuan ($14) for local businesses.
In a statement made by CSC (China Steel Corp), the price increases for the CSC August 2023 listing were limited as the company wants to help its local customers get more orders from global buyers and increase their competitiveness in overseas markets.
