According to the information compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) data, China exported 35,697 tons of wire rods to Türkiye in the January-July 2024 period, an increase of 74.44% compared to the same period of the previous year. China displayed a remarkable performance, especially in July, with an export volume of 21,299 tons.
The fact that China ranked 7th in 2023 with a total of 25,489 tons of wire rod exports and ranked 1st in 2024 indicates that trade dynamics have changed.
Moreover, while Malaysia, Russia, and Egypt were the top wire rod exporters to Türkiye in 2023, China, the UK, and South Korea were the top exporters to Türkiye in January-July 2024.
