Çetin Tecdelioğlu, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly, will continue his role as Chairman of İstanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association for another term.
Speaking at the general assembly, Tecdelioğlu stated that they had maintained an intense pace of work over the past four years, implementing nearly 400 activities within approximately 48 months, including national participation organizations, buyer delegations, UR-GE projects, sectoral trade delegations, fair visits, and meetings. He emphasized that these efforts made a significant contribution to increasing the visibility of the sectors in international markets.
Outlining their roadmap for the new term, Tecdelioğlu noted that they will focus on increasing value-added exports, digitalization, and sustainability. He stated that they aim to raise exports from the current level of around USD 14.5 billion to USD 20 billion in the medium term, adding that they will continue to work closely with the sector through the right strategies to achieve this goal.
Tecdelioğlu said:“I feel a great sense of honor and responsibility to have been re-elected as Chairman of the Board. I would like to thank everyone for their trust in us. Together with our Board of Directors, we will continue to work with determination for our sector. In the new term, we will further advance our approach that focuses on increasing production capacity, contributing to employment, and ensuring sustainable success in exports. In line with our vision of ‘more production, more employment, more exports,’ we will work together to carry our sector into a stronger future. Our strength lies in our unity.”
