Kocaer Steel (KCAER) announced in its notification to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it has decided to increase the capacity of the Kocaer Steel Service Center in line with the objectives of increasing the share of value-added products in the portfolio, as stated in the Special Situation Statement dated November 13, 2023.
It was noted that steel profiles, in particular solar energy profiles, are processed on a project-specific basis and according to customer requirements and turned into high value-added products. It was emphasized that the service center processes steel products into end products with services such as cutting to length, machining and welding, cold forming and galvanizing. It was noted that the investment to increase capacity from 120,000 tons/year to 180,000 tons/year with an increase of 50 percent has been completed and the new capacity has been put into operation.
