Brazil's wire rod exports decreased in May

In May 2023, Brazil's wire rod exports fell significantly by 62.8% compared to April to around 13,600 tons.

ArcelorMittal's supply accounted for about the largest share

ArcelorMittal's supply accounted for the largest share with around 13,000 tons. Exports to the Dominican Republic were around 5,500 tons, to South American countries around 5,400 tons and to the US around 2,700 tons.

During the period, Brazil's wire rod imports decreased by 58% month-on-month to around 16,000 tons. China was the largest source of imports with around 11,000 tons.
