Brazil's pig iron exports rise in October despite year-on-year decline

This figure shows an increase of 18.6% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 6% compared to October of the previous year.

In the export ranking, the United States of America was the largest importer with around 421,000 tons. European and Asian countries followed with about 23,000 tons and 6,400 tons, in that order.

In the first ten months of this year, Brazil's total pig iron exports amounted to around 3.2 million tons, down slightly by 1.2% compared to the same period last year.
