Brazil's pig iron exports increased in December

In December 2023, Brazil's pig iron exports increased by 97% m-o-m to around 373,000 tons. At the same time, Brazil's pig iron exports in 2023 amounted to about 3.9 million tons, up by 3.8% from 2022.

Exports to the US amounted to about 285,000 tons, to Mexico about 56,000 tons and to Türkiye about 26,000 tons. The main suppliers of exports were suppliers in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Pará.
