The BIR World Recycling Convention and Exhibition, one of the most important events of the recycling industry on a global scale, kicked off in Valencia, Spain on Monday, May 26th.
The event, organized by the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR), is being held this year with the participation of 841 companies from 63 countries. With a total of 1,915 participants, Spain, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States were the top five countries with the highest number of participants.
During the three-day event at the Feria Valencia Convention Centre, sessions will be held on a wide range of topics from ferrous and non-ferrous metals to stainless steel and plastic recycling. There will also be international trade and environmental councils, sectoral committee meetings, a young traders' session and networking opportunities in the exhibition area, offering a busy program for industry professionals.
In 2024, BIR achieved a significant success by increasing the number of memberships to over 1000. With the 2025 event, this momentum is expected to continue.
