BENTELER will supply carbon dioxide-reduced semi-finished steel slabs from its electric arc furnace plant in Lingen to Thyssenkrupp Hohenlimburg.
This agreement provides a sustained increase in the number of materials produced using green electricity by 2027 and targets their commitment to sustainability and climate protection.
Compared to the traditional blast furnace, the CO2 emissions of low alloy steel grades produced in Lingen electric arc furnace plant have been reduced by more than 75%, and this figure will be lower after green electricity is used in this plant.
