Belgium steel production reached 667,000 tons in December 2022, increased by 28.3% compared to November of the same year. In December 2022, steel production increased by 13.8% year-on-year.
Belgium steel production increased by 0.4% in 2022 compared to the previous year and reached 6.94 million tons. Belgium produced 6.9 million tons of steel in 2021 and was ranked 25th in the list of steel producing countries in the same year.
Looking at the European Union, it is seen that steel production decreased by 16.7% to 9.2 million tons in December 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year.
