BE Group reported a 13 per cent decrease in operating profit for 2005

Swedish Broderna Edstrand Group announced that it plans to make at least one acquisition in 2006. At the same time as making this announcement, the company also announced its 2005 financial results. The Swedish service centre, which recorded a 13 percent decline in operating profit in 2005, will build a new processing plant in St Petersburg and strengthen its position in Eastern Europe with this move. The main reasons for the decline in profits in 2005 were expansion costs in Eastern Europe as well as a generally weak industry.
