The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) and the Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed) announced that the parties have signed a Letter of Intent to explore potential cooperation opportunities in iron ore transportation.
Signed on the sidelines of the Future Minerals Forum held in Riyadh, the Letter of Intent covers the exploration of potential collaborations in maritime transport to meet Hadeed’s iron ore shipping requirements. Within the scope of the agreement, joint opportunities such as the development and construction of new vessels within the Kingdom, tailored to Hadeed’s operational and technical needs, will also be evaluated.
Hadeed is one of Saudi Arabia’s leading national industrial companies in the iron and steel sector, while Bahri operates as the Kingdom’s national maritime carrier with a global logistics network. The cooperation aims to strengthen industrial and operational integration and support the localization of value chains.
