Automotive sector exports reached the top in October: 3.6 billion dollars!

The automotive industry recorded the highest exports last month with approximately 3.6 billion dollars.

Automotive sector exports reached the top in October: 3.6 billion dollars!

According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the automotive industry, one of the industrial group sectors, exported approximately 3.6 billion dollars in October. The said sector was followed by chemicals and chemical products with 2.5 billion dollars and ready-to-wear and apparel sector with 1.6 billion dollars.

The sector that increased its exports the most in October was the ship and yacht sector with 78%.

The exports of the industrial group, which realized 70.9% of Türkiye's exports, increased by 4.9% last month to 16.6 billion dollars.
In October, the agricultural group, which accounts for 14.4% of exports, increased by 5.5% to approximately 3.4 billion dollars, while the mining group, which accounts for 2.4% of exports, increased by 13.8% to 567.4 million dollars.

Most exports to Germany

While exports to 122 countries increased in October, the top three countries with the highest exports were Germany with 1.6 billion dollars, the USA with 1.3 billion dollars and the United Kingdom with 1.2 billion dollars.

The top 3 cities with the highest exports in this period were Istanbul with 7.9 billion dollars, Kocaeli with 1.8 billion dollars and Bursa with 1.6 billion dollars.

Last month, 64 provinces increased their exports.

In October, 1374 companies exported for the first time, while the kilogram unit value increased by 7% to 1.56 dollars.
