Austria increased its steel production by 17.4% in September

According to the World Steel Association, Austrian metallurgical enterprises increased steel production by 17.4% to 514 thousand tonnes at the end of September 2023 compared to the previous month.

Compared with the same period last year, in September this year, Austrian metallurgists reduced steel production by 8.7%.

In addition, in January-September, Austria produced 5.39 million tonnes of steel, which is 6.9% less than in the same period in 2022.

By the end of 2022, Austrian metallurgists reduced steel production by 4.7% compared to 2021 to 7.51 million tonnes.
