At KARDEMIR, collective bargaining agreement negotiations have started

In a written statement made by the Karabuk Branch of the Özçelik-Iş Union, it was stated that the draft of the CBA covering the years 2023-2024 was submitted to the employer's side on December 26th. In the statement that the first session of the negotiation process was held, it was stated that the session was attended by Deputy Chairman Mustafa Kılıç, Karabük Branch President Kenan Yılmaz and branch managers representing the Özçelik-Iş Union.

Branch President Yılmaz, whose views were included in the statement, stated that an agreement was reached on 47 articles between the union and the employer at the meeting. Stating that the second session will be held on February 3, Yılmaz included the following statements in his statement:

"We have started the process with great enthusiasm and excitement in order to further increase the rights and interests of our working fellows in KARDEMIR. In the recent period, the cost of living and the inflation environment in our country are well known to everyone. We have started this process in such difficult living conditions. Thanks to the valuable contributions and support of our Chairman Yunus Değirmenci, the determined stance of our members in the field, the determined work of our trade union staff in Karabük, and the understanding perspectives of our employers, I hope we will come out of this process with a clear forehead."

Yılmaz noted that the bank promotion meetings of the employees of KARDEMİR, KARDEMİR the Casting Factories Directorate and the Machinery Factories (KARDÖKMAK) and Karabük Steel Construction Manufacturing Industry and Trade A.S. (KARÇEL) continue.
