According to statistics published by the Argentine steel association, Argentina's crude steel production was about 459,000 tons in November 2022, a decrease of 6.9% compared to the previous month.
During this period, Argentina's hot-rolled coil production was 175,000 tons, down by about 17% for the whole year, cold-rolled coil production was 85,800 tons, down by 25.6%, and long product production was 217,000 tons, up by 4.7%. years.
The association said that the country's economy is mainly driven by the construction sector. Activities increased by 8.6% y-o-y in the January-November period of 2022.
However, due to the expected severe dry season, the short-term perspective of the machinery and agricultural sectors remained uncertain, while the energy field was expected to have a good outlook.
