ArcelorMittal updates prices again
Europe's leading steelmaker ArcelorMittal has announced a new update on prices.
According to information confirmed by German sources, ArcelorMittal has not offered a price quote for a while. However, it may bounce back this week by bidding €850/tonne ($899) or more for HRC. It has been learned that ArcelorMittal is asking for €850, up €30 above its previous targets, although not yet official.
Reacting to the price hikes announced almost every week, German Sources hopes that prices will stabilize in the near future. It also warns that supplies will not be available before May, hinting at extended lead times at European factories in general.
