ArcelorMittal Pecém’s steel slab exports rise in Jun

ArcelorMittal Pecém of Brazil shipped roughly 279,000 tons of steel slab in June, up 57.8% from the previous month but down nearly 10% from the same month a year earlier.

ArcelorMittal Pecém's steel slab exports were about 1.5 million tons in the first half of this year, representing a 6.6% rise year over year.

Exports to the United States accounted for 42% of the total, with Mexico accounting for 11%.

The domestic market in Brazil accounted for 41% of ArcelorMittal Pecém's sales.
