Annual change in Türkiye's welded pipe trades: Increases in imports, decreases in exports

Türkiye's total welded pipe imports in 2023 increased marginally by 0.15% to 85,939 tons. In 2022, this figure amounted to 85,808 tons.

On a monthly basis, imports decreased by 2.76% to 6,755 tons in December compared to the same period in 2022. Exports increased by 7.71% to 223,613 tons compared to December 2022.

January recorded the lowest imports

In 2023, the highest imports were recorded in May with 8,668 tons, an increase of 40%. The lowest imports were recorded in January. In 2022, imports were 5,888 tons, despite a 29% increase compared to January. In 2022, the highest imports were 10,062 tons in August and the lowest imports were 3,978 tons in December.

Exports increased in December

Welded pipe exports of Türkiye in 2023 decreased by 6.31% over the year, falling from 2.0 million tons to 1.9 million tons.

In 2023, the highest exports were 223,613 tons in December, up 7.71% year-on-year. In February, the lowest exports were 97,337 tons, a decrease of 49.36% compared to the same period last year. In 2022, the highest exports were 229,708 tons in June and the lowest exports were 102,529 tons in January.
