Al Yamamah Steel has started commercial production at its Wind Energy Systems Factory in Yanbu. With an annual capacity of 50,000 tons, the facility produces steel towers over 130 meters high, serving both domestic and international markets. The project is considered a significant step in Saudi Arabia’s transition to clean energy and aligns with the Vision 2030 goals.

Al Yamamah Steel started commercial production at Wind Energy Systems Factory in Yanbu

Under the supervision and support of the Ministry of Energy, Al Yamamah Steel Industries Company announced the start of commercial production at its new Wind Energy Systems Factory in Yanbu Industrial City. The step is regarded as a key milestone in Saudi Arabia’s clean energy transition and aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030.

The new facility is positioned as one of the most advanced factories specializing in the production of steel towers for wind energy applications. With an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons, the factory manufactures high-quality towers over 130 meters tall and up to 6 meters in diameter. These towers are designed to support the latest generation of wind turbines and contribute to the development of renewable energy technologies.

Equipped with modern production systems and managed by a specialized team, the factory is expected to become a regional hub for the renewable energy sector. The facility aims to serve both domestic and international markets.

This initiative reflects Al Yamamah Steel Industries’ commitment to sustainable industrial development and energy transition, while also reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s regional and global position in renewable energy.
