The Aegean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association, which has been at the top of the Aegean Exporters' Association's exports for 6 years with an annual export performance exceeding 2.5 billion dollars, announced the "Increase in Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exports" for its 35 members who realized 78 percent of the 2 billion 564 million dollars of exports in 2022. "Stars Award Ceremony" was organized.
In addition to the companies that received awards according to their export performance in 2022 among the members of the Aegean Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association, champions were awarded in 6 categories.
KOCAER ÇELİK SANAYİ VE TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ won a double award by coming first in the Iron and Steel Profile Export category as well as in the general category, while NORM CİVATA SANAYİ VE TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ won the award in the Other Iron and Steel Products Export Champion category.
The winner of the Iron Steel Bar and Round Product Export category was İZMİR DEMİR ÇELİK SANAYİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, while ÖZKAN DEMİR ÇELİK A.Ş. was the Alloy and Quality Steel Export Champion. was rewarded.
Yalçın Ertan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association, stated that they increased their exports by 15 percent in 2022 compared to 2021, reaching 2 billion 564 million dollars. Ertan said, “The 35 members we awarded brought $2 billion in foreign currency to Turkey in 2022. “We thank them,” he said.
