UAE-based ADNOC Gas Plc and its subsidiaries announced that they have signed a 20 year natural gas supply agreement with EMSTEEL, valued between USD 3.5–4.2 billion.
The long-term agreement, set to take effect on 1 January 2027, guarantees the uninterrupted and reliable supply of low-carbon natural gas to support EMSTEEL’s operations and growth plans.
ADNOC Gas CEO Fatema Al Nuaimi described the deal as a strategic step supporting the nation’s industrial growth, stating:
“Supplying low-carbon natural gas to EMSTEEL is a key part of our mission to strengthen national industry and contribute to economic development. We will continue delivering reliable, cleaner energy solutions for the UAE’s long-term prosperity.”
EMSTEEL Group CEO Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi highlighted that the partnership will boost production efficiency and advance their green steel initiatives:
“This strategic collaboration provides a sustainable energy supply for our operations while supporting our goal of generating in-country value. Together with ADNOC Gas, we will reinforce more environmentally friendly production approaches.”
The agreement reinforces the strong cooperation between the two companies and contributes to the UAE’s sustainable economic growth targets. The long-term supply of low-carbon natural gas from ADNOC Gas is expected to enhance EMSTEEL’s production capacity, support emission management, and strengthen the resilience of the country’s manufacturing sector.
