The company announced its sixth price hike for the US market at the end of 2021, with prices reaching the highest level since 2009.
Acerinox, one of the world's largest stainless steel producers, announced a price increase of US$70-80/ton in the US market in late December, effective January 2022.
This price increase was the sixth time for Acerinox in 2021, and it also made base prices in the US at their highest level since 2009.
This another price increase reflected the good state of demand in the US market, where protectionist measures continue to be helpful.
