Having difficulty in increasing the amount of natural gas purchases from Russia through pipelines, Europe turned to supply the energy it needed for the winter months with LNG imports. These tankers carry a total of 4.46 million cubic meters of LNG to Europe.
While a large number of LNG tankers have been docking at European terminals in recent days, 22 LNG tankers are expected to arrive at British, Belgian and Dutch ports by 10 August.
Until January 10, 8 LNG tankers, 8 from the USA and 1 from Russia, will dock at the LNG terminals in the UK. The total capacity of these tankers is 1.5 million cubic meters.
In the same period, 9 LNG tankers, 5 from Russia, will dock at the Belgian terminals. The total capacity of these tankers was announced as 1.62 million cubic meters.
Until January 10, 4 tankers, all from the USA, will dock at the terminals in the Netherlands, and they will unload a total of 1 million 344 thousand cubic meters of LNG.
