In the third week of December, rebar prices in the İskenderun, Marmara, and İzmir regions declined by USD 5 compared to the previous week. Producer prices stood at USD 556 in İskenderun and İzmir, while ranging between USD 585–590 in the Marmara region, as buyers continued to adopt a cautious stance toward restocking.
According to www.steelradar.com’s assessment dated December 18, 2025, spot rebar prices by region were as follows:
Istanbul rebar prices: USD 579 / TRY 29,700 (-100)
Izmir rebar prices: USD 556 / TRY 28,500 (-100)
Karabük rebar prices: USD 573 / TRY 29,400 (0.00)
Payas rebar prices: USD 556 / TRY 28,500 (0.00)
In the wire rod market, prices continued to move sideways under pressure from weak demand, with producer prices remaining in the USD 570–590 range. Sellers, aiming not to miss incoming demand, are offering discounts on list prices depending on tonnage.
On the raw material side, weak demand and competitive pressure are negatively affecting prices. Kardemir Karabük surprised the market on Wednesday by lowering billet prices by USD 10 to the USD 505–515 range. In İskenderun and İzmir, billet prices were offered at USD 510–520, while the latest imported billets from Russia traded at USD 458–466 / CFR.
