In Turkey billet prices increased in the second half of October. This affected not only domestic supplies but also imports from Russia. However, Russian companies cannot expect a more significant price rise due to weak demand outside Turkey. Moreover, Turkish steel producers have so far been unable to raise rebar prices, making any further increase in scrap and semi-finished product costs unacceptable for them.
