Galvanized steel producers in Taiwan to raise HGI prices

In the Taiwan's domestic market this week, the circulation price of hot-dipped galvanized steel (HGI) has been kept stable. Local distributors stated that the producers are preparing to increase the offers of galvanized steel producers due to the expected price increase.

Sub-producers also stated that some galvanized steel producers made two hikes in the second half of July 2023, for a total of NT$500/tonne, due to the annual maintenance and production reduction effect.

Looking at the current situation, some of the customers' replenishment purchases are active, but most are on demand.
